The designer also retained the lighting system, which uses a simple cable pull, underscoring his commitment to intuitive functionality and reduced form. The disc-shaped base provides stability and visual lightness, while the white linen shade softens the light, creating a calm and contemplative atmosphere, even when the lamp is off.

Compared to the TMM—with its more domestic and warm character—the TMD offers a more technical and architectural expression, ideal for contemporary interiors where both visual clarity and constructive honesty are valued. Its silhouette is sober, elegant, and timeless.
