Cestita Batería is the newest member of the Cesta family: a portable, cordless version. As with all Milá objects, this version champions industrial craftsmanship by balancing rational functionalism with the legacy of local artisanal work. In this new addition to the family, technology helps enhance its features, those of the lamp-object it accompanies. Maintaining the warmth characteristic of its family, it is composed of a subtle structure that protects the opal glass globe, which diffuses its light. It is produced and assembled manually by European artisans using traditional techniques of steaming the wood for bending and the artisanal blowing of its opal glass globe.

The lamp connects with the spirit of the company Tramo (Tra-bajos Mo-lestos) founded by Milá in the early sixties to self-produce her pieces: objects of all kinds, simple and essential that help make a house a home.
